How to schedule a task

Hi all I'm have an application that run in a network. now i want to uplaod the data from the database in local machine to a remote server in every one hour. How this can be achieved. Will i need to create a windows service that run a set of quires to upload the data? or am i thinking worng way. Is there any other way with which it can be achieved. Please help me on this. Hi Any applications if there is any time bounding then you have to schedule that application now it's all on you that you create a window service or window application. If task is going to execute once in a day or week or month or year then you can use the task scheduler of OS but if you need to schedule you application as per your convenience then you have to create a window service. But if you are concentrating on window application then use any third party scheduler
