Is it possible to apply MVC design pattern to Windows App

Question

Hello All IS MVC Design pattern suitable to Desktop/windows Application? I am used to hear MVC pattern is suitable for Web/ASP.Net application only!!. In this case If MVC is not suitable to windows application anyother design pattern is good to desktop application development? can somebody please suggest/consult in this issue?

MVC is suitable for Windows Applications also. But again it depends on your Requirements & Scenarios. If you are going to develop the Desktop application in WPF then the best pattern is always MVVM. If you are going to develop the normal windows applicationsm you can go ahead with MVC. There are many debates and disucssion on where and when to use which patterns. Just go through the debates and discussion in google and compare that with your project requirement and development scenario. Finally decide which pattern to choose. All are just UI Patterns which is developed mainly for Seperation of Concern which is useful for extensive testing of the application without depending the UI layer.

Hi Yes we can use MVC design pattern for Windows applications as well & here is an example. And there are other design patterns like MVP & MVVM for Windows Applications.
