Live video encoding using ffmpeg or expression encoder.

Hello frnds I want to encode video which is captured by webcam. I am trying to capture video via webcam and at same time I want to encode that streaming video in flv or any other format. So please help me out in converting video from avi to any format. thnx in advance.

Hi For all i know we cant convert the stream as it is from webcam. 1. Save the clip of 1 min in a directory RAWCLIPS 2. Convert the clip and put into another directory CONVERTEDCLIPS. 3. Continue the step 1 & 2 untill the you stop the recording. 4.Merge the clips from CONVERTEDCLIPS using MP4Box and save the final out. It will work. We are doing like this only in our project. Hi It is better to encode as mp4. Here is the ffmpeg code. ffmpeg -i infuptfile.ext -vcodec libx264 -sameq -f mp4 outputfile.mp4 I am using this command for the same. Its working fine.
