I currently use a typical PC workstation developing .NET apps. Now I would like to purchase a new laptop.

I've recently learned that the Macintosh Macbook Pro will support Windows XP and Vista. This is a real boot install and not simply a virtual space running within the Mac O/S. Also, Mac is now using the same Intel Dual-Core 2Ghz processor as PC computers and offers specific Windows drivers (BootCamp) in a free download. It seems that Mac is reaching out to a larger computing audience these days. I'm particularly attracted to the Macbook Pro's 17" wide screen, thin, lightweight design and hardware performance. I've read 2GB RAM is more than adequate due to its memory utilization. Upon first thought, I think the hardware shouldn't matter as long as the developed application (desktop or web) runs well within Windows XP or Vista. However, I'm not convinced that developing Windows .NET applications on a Mac is an entirely good idea.
