MDI project

Question

Hey guys  I have problem here . I have a parent form (IsMdicontainer=true) within a statusStrip  and a child with a button I wanna to change text of that statusStrip.text(in the parent form ) when the user clicks the button in the child form . How can I do that guys? please... Love u guys!

I came across this post and though it is a bit old. Figured I would provide my two cents. I am working on a MDI Project as well. I am able to update the statusstrip.label from the child form by following this process. I have added a ToolStripStatusLabel and called it StatusMessage. In the Parent Mdi form I have Sub ChangeMessage(ByVal status as String) Me.StatusMessage.Text = status Application.DoEvents() End Sub From any child you can call Parent.ChangeMessage with a valid string parameter and update your message.
