.Net Developer with 8 Years of Experience

Question

Hi All I am a.Net developerwith 8 years of exp. I need some career advice.I am working on web forms and don't have much knowledge in MVC and everybody wants it. sometimes I feel to work freelance but still i am stuck with web forms.I am very frustrated :-( as I had a very high expectation going on site or settle there earning decent money etc. Please help me to understand as per future which direction I should choose. To be noted I am married Indian women means family also matters. Thanks for Help.

Hi your question mentions two separate problems let me handle one by one. first regarding MVC yes you are correct if you still working on web forms then probably you are stuck in old project's maintenance because most of new dev. happens with MVC so you don't have an option but to learn MVC there are many good sources for that like Microsoft's own MVA(microsoft virtual academy) our own C# Corner's learning path: http://www.c-sharpcorner.com/learn/asp-net-mvc also job requirements are already asking for dot net core as preferred skill so you will need that too. second coming to your high expectation and your situation which I say is not concerned at all with asp.net form or any other skill. if you settle to any outside country you have to find a good immigration consultant and follow his advice I'm sure your skills will not matter in immigration process but will matter afterwards in finding job I hope I answered your questions
