Reading from / Savign to the Registry

Question

Good afternoon I am looking for any reference information you may be able to point me to regarding reading app configuration information from the registry / writing information to the registry. Basically I have an application which I would like to read from a configuration section upon launch. Also is there a simple way to play a wave file in a C# application? I have been looking in to the DirectX stuff but my current application does not require this level of coding. I'm just looking for an easy way to simply play a wave file. If you can direct me to some reference material it would be very much appreciated. Thank you all. Bob

The easiest reference is all you need. Open the Visual Studio help (or surf to msdn.microsoft.com) and open the .NET SDK help. See Registry class. From the help here's a C# example of getting the root key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE: RegistryKey rk = Registry.LocalMachine; See also the RegistryKey class.
