Remote admin in c#

Question

i am creating a remote admin application there are few question i would like to clarify 1. how can i detect and get all ip of conencted pc in a same workgroup and diffrent workgroup but in the same domain? any references or sample code can show me how to do it? 2. How can i remotely get a list of process in a connected pc and how can i kill the process? Thank for clarify my doubt.

i am already testing the code but i only able to get my own ip address in the list box. I think it is necessary to describe abit about my house network. i have 6 pc . 3 connected to the a router. 3 connected to a hub. These hub are also connected to the router uplink. I have another ADSL modem is also connected to the router WAN which provide me the internet connection. We are sharing a broadband connection. We are all in the same workgroup name HOUSE. My pc does not connected with them through winsock connection. so is it other way to get all ip addresses and a list of services of other pc connected ? Thank you

Good. That helps. If you are working with ASP.NET you might do things differently because of security for example. If you're using a regular application such things shouldn't be a problem. You've mentioned a list of IPs but I'm not sure how you can have a workgroup AND domain on the same machine. I can only offer you an example of how to get a list of all IP addresses using the Sockets API. i am not sure what remoting method i am using currently because i just starting my project i am still doing my research i am making a windows application  so i am not implementing web services. Mostly i will implements .Net remoting or RPC do u have any references or sample of doing it in c# that i can references to? May be i should focus back to my question first. 1. How can i get all the ip which connected in the same and diffrent workgroup ? 2. How can i get a list of running background services and program from other pc in the same workgroup and able to terminate their services ? thank you .

What is your remoting method? .NET Remoting Sockets WebServices RPC Mailslots NamedPipes etc? I suspect that you would do it the same way on the server machine as you would on the local machine the remote machine just triggers the operation and receives the result. This is why the remoting method makes a difference.
