Reset the controls in win forms

Question

Hi.... In my application i am creating a user control( combination of different controls like timerbuttons etc)..and i consumed that user control in my windows Forms multiple times ...but when i click on a reset button ..all the controls of my user controls are must be reset ... and in my application i may have multiple copies of user controls in my win form.....please help meto solve this issue.....

The Control class has various Resetxxxx methods to reset properties (including Text BackColor and ForeColor) back to their default values: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.windows.forms.control(v=vs.110).aspx You could write a method which does this automatically for your user control: public void ResetControlProperties(Control parent) { foreach(Control child in parent.Controls) { if(child.HasChildren) { ResetControlProperties(child); } else { child.ResetText(); child.ResetForeColor(); child.ResetBackColor(); } } } You'd then call this say with: ResetControlProperties(userControl1); However if you want to deal with properties which aren't catered for in the Control class or to reset to values which aren't the Windows Forms defaults then it would be easier just to write a method which deals with the controls individually. Note for instance that the above code would even set a button's Text property to an empty string which I'm sure is not what you'd want.
