Simply import whats in your datagridview to ms access 2007

Question

In c# .net

Can some guide importing whats in my datagridview right into MS Access 2007.

I want to be able to point to the .mdb file that I want or just simply import to MS Access 2007

can some one guide me,

i got the datagrid to work to send to the database What happens is in access Index is a key word So therefore you cant use keywords as column header it will never work it took a thousand years to figure that out alot of people dont know. So be careful guys . I change Index to CIfIndex and it work perfectly find. But I after the program finish update its get a error saying object reference is not set to an instance of an object. I think thats a null issue how can i advoid that.

How you do it with the table adapter or dataset importing to the Access  that might be quicker since you say its huge data

this is one method of insertingif you have huge data then go for dataadapter mark the answer if it helps you

I tried both which one to use DBtimestamp Date DBTime currency or DBDate also do I use integer for the OleDbTpyr for the int column I tried all of this let me make sure did you get my project

you try adding rows dynamically.set the enable adding to false. do the same like what i did.i.e adding rows dynamicallythen put the data in the grid and then insert it to database MARK THE ANSWER IF IT HELPS YOU

I sent you the project did you get it the properties are int Index datetime Op_Time_Stamp text UUT_MSN text OperationID text Etag text EDescription text E_Time_Stamp1 text E_Time_Stamp2 text EValue I think it fails at the datetime property im not for sure I have 916 rows in the datatable right now so I didnt step through all of the rows but

i meanat the run time execution of your programyou can add rows any no of rows..just look at the screen shot above it has a textbox fieldif i need 90 rows in my grid simply i enter 90 and click the addrows button.go to datagridview properties and set enable adding to false.

set enable adding property to false..try adding your rows dynamically and put the data and save it to database..then regarding the query passed to the command object..you need to check if the attributes specified in the query matches the one specified in the database table hope it resolves your problem mark the answer if it helps you

hello darnelli have written a sample code for youcheck it out.i followed a way to insert your datagrid values to access database.i am uploading my project files and database file too..check it out here is the screen shots of my sample project. you can add rows dynamically.enter the no of rows in the textbox to be added in the datagrid a nd click on the button add rowsafter doing this enter the values in datagrid and click on the button save to access database and a window appears informing you that your values were saved to access database PLEASE MARK THE ANSWER IF IT HELPS YOU

You can use the Server Explorer to connect to the database then use the Data Sources window to create a data source. Then you can drag the data source to a blank form. By default a DataGridView bound to the table will be created in the form with a navigation bar above it. If you build the project as-is you have a functioning database program. The generated program will include code to save the modifications in the DataGridView. All of that without writing any code. You can merge into that whatever code that you have developed that is relevant to your data. See Visual C++ Guided Tour for a worthwhile tour except you don't need to do them in the order they appear.
