UPLOADFILE NOT REFERENCING THE POINTED FILE

Hello My Code Masters Happy New Year to all of you and i wish you all the best in this year 2017. please i have an issue i am uploading a document to my SQL Database using ASP:FileUpload control i have done the necessary thing but the code returning the following error  Object reference not set to an instance of an object below is the image of the error I will appreciate any assistance. Thank you all.

Just you need to remove the Trim() function from your if condition The FileName is null and thats your are checking in your condition and simultaneously you are using its Trim() function. if (!string.IsNullOrEmpty (FUpload.PostedFile.FileName .Trim() ))

Thank you Amit Gupta and the entire C-Sharpcorner family for all the solution tips it has greatly improve my coding skill. Regarding my code challenge which i posted i finally solve it the problem is the asp:UpdatePanel contro l this control restrict any postback control their by stopping the FileUpload control to retain it content. By removing the UpdatePanel control every thing work just fine. i appreciate all the team for their great support.

Debug your code to find out the actual error. It might be PostedFile is null. Do check properly and apply condition accordingly if (FileUpload1.PostedFile != null)

Thanks Amit Gupta for the correction i have used this method before posting the question with the same error if (!string.IsNullOrEmpty (FUpload.PostedFile.FileName ))
