Visual Studio 2010 Crashed ?

Question

Hi I had an automated update for Windows XP Pro SP3 yesterday[21-02-2011]. After the successful updating I can't run the Visual Studio [2010 Express Edition] Application in Debug Mode. If i press F5 or Run command it seems to be started but within a second it's stopped. I don't know what made the VS 2010 to stop working.. I guess the update of the WinXP. What you think?

But you said after Windows Update only this problem occurred. Before it was working fine?

Hi all I got the solution. Wrongly i have suspected on Windows XP update but the problem was with the Silverlight OOB Application shortcut ICON settings. now i resolved it and project is running in debug mode successfully. Thanks to all.

When asking about things like that it really helps to be more precise. What update? What does can't run mean? I suggest searching Microsoft such as the MSDN forums and the Technet forums and the Microsoft Connect site for any problems reported with the update. If the problem is not unique to your system then it has already been reported. If it is unique to your system then you might not get much help from Microsoft without paying for it. If you choose to pay and they determine that it is their fault then they will not charge. It won't cost you anything to call Microsoft but if the problem is not reported to them by others then they just might not be able to help. One big question is if it is a Visual Studio (developer) issue or a Windows issue. It might be a Visual Studio problem activated by the change of Windows or it might be a Windows problem but a third possibility is that it is third-party software problem activated by the change of Windows. I think that is a likely explanation. I don't know how to diagnose that but I think it is worth considering.

VS 2010 all versions having loading problems so slow. W7 XP. You can report this to Microsoft team as a bug report. They will sure provide workaround solution.
