What is MCPD considered as ? diploma? degree? just certifica

Good Day I would like to know how people view a MCPD is it just a certificate saying you can do the job or is it viewed as a degree diploma. Is it something you can use overseas? What should someone with MCPD strive for next? so Lost thank you for your time

MCPD or MCITP credential will almost always include several MCTS exams plus an additional professional or PRO level exam which looks at the knowledge of design and architecture to test on application of the technology skills you may already have gained through multiple MCTS exams. Raj Thanks for your reply. So MCPD isnt a diploma nor Degree or anything like that it just stipulates you know how to work with the technology. Does that also indicate its useless if i wanna go overseas? is there no diploma or degree direction in the programming field where MCPD is the starting point?

Anyone can sit a Microsoft exam. Whether you pass an exam depends on your experience. Generally speaking you will need 1-2yrs experience (by experience I mean working with the technologies covered by the various exams which make up the MCPD certification on a day-to-day basis in an employment/contracting/consulting scenario not just study or doing labs/examples) to pass the exams of the MCPD certification. That said some people have been able to pass the exams by only studying.
