Default SQL Server port is 1433

    Default Port No is: 1433

The Well Known Ports are those from 0 through 1023.
The Registered Ports are those from 1024 through 49151.
The Dynamic and/or Private Ports are those from 49152 through 65535.
So admin can configure other port numbers also as per their security requirements.

Arun, that is the default port. But admin can assign other ports if they want.

HI Mahesh,It only allows 1433. Please could you confirm?

the TCP/IP port numbers that Microsoft SQL Server requires to communicate over a firewall. The default SQL Server port is 1433, and client ports are assigned a random value between 1024 and 5000.

    1433
