The Gemini iOS app supports text-based prompts in 35 languages and introduces the Gemini Live feature, allowing users to engage in conversations in 12 languages, including English, Spanish, French, and Hindi. Google plans to expand language support in the future.
While features like recipe suggestions and study assistance were already accessible via the Google app, Gemini Live offers a unique conversational experience that was not previously available on iOS. Users can also generate images using Google’s Imagen 3 model. After temporarily pausing this feature due to concerns about historical inaccuracies, Google has resumed allowing Gemini Advanced, Business, and Enterprise users to create images of people.
Additionally, the app integrates with other Google services such as Gmail, Maps, YouTube, and Calendar through extensions, enabling users to ask Gemini questions related to their accounts.
