a question re:a simple datagrid..

If I wanted to create a simple datagrid which has 2 columns: a readonly column, and a writeable 'text' only column Are there several ways to do this? I'm wondering if what I did was overkill? What I did was: DataGridTableStyle dgts = new DataGridTableStyle(); dgts.MappingName = "data_table_name"; DataGridTextBoxColumn dgcs = new DataGridTextBoxColumn(); dgcs.MappingName = "Property"; dgcs.ReadOnly = true; dgts.GridColumnStyles.Add(dgcs); dgcs = new DataGridTextBoxColumn(); dgcs.MappingName = "Value"; dgts.GridColumnStyles.Add(dgcs); this.dataGrid1.TableStyles.Add(dgts);

Looks fine. That's the way to do it unless you are using data binding. If you are using data binding then your DataGrid will generate columns dynamically. You can also create a DataTable in memory and bind that DataTable to your DataGrid. However your method (above) provides more flexibility.
