About switching company

Question

Hi i am currently working as a .Net Developer in a company.when i joined this company all the projects were completed and they want me to work for the Maintenance of these projects.I am not getting a single Development work. I have completed five months in this company..what i should do now????

Hi do not leave from your job. I thing you can learn new things in Maintenance side by side you search new job in good company.

Hi to get a right what you except is very difficult unless you are experienced what i like to say is keep focusing on ur particular jobi know it will be frustrating for you to sit idle in a company this is an exp for you and no company will keep u idle.So be patient you will get the project at right time and without exp or knowledge dont change the job.because everywhere it will be a same scenario.

Hi manas you are right to some extent but I cant see my company will extend itself(company) in development sector.They are more intrested in hosting and Accounting.second comes the salary issue its pretty low.

Hi Nikhil Do not take any decision immediately to leave the company. Firstly try to find an opportunity inside the company. If it is not possible ask your manager that you have interest on development project. And wait for some time if anything happens whether your manager is giving you opportunity or not. If yes then it is OK. If no then you have to find another opportunity outside. Secondly before you try to another company make yourself as a compete candidate in market. Then go for switch the company and also ask them you are interested for development project.
