A DataSet is essentially a collection of DataTables and the relations between them. As such it has a Tables collection which you can iterate through to get the names of all the DataTables in the collection: foreach(DataTable table in dataSet.Tables) { Console.WriteLine(table.TableName); } You can also access an individual member of the collection either by its name or by its zero-based index in the collection. For example: DataTable dt = dataSet.Tables[0]; // gets first DataTable in collection DataTable dt2 = dataSet.Tables[Table1]; // gets a DataTable called Table1

Using SQLDataReader you can have multiple select row outputs as tables later get saved to dataset.
