Accessing Sql server and reading data from it in c#

i need a .net code for accessing the database in sql server and reading data from it and displaying it in datagrid view.

Hi ejaz Actually the code below is relative to Grid View Web Forms. ---------------------------------------------------------- gdView.DataSource = dt; gdView.DataBind(); ---------------------------------------------------------- If you're using a Win Form then just remove the second line of code. well there is this error Error 1 'System.Windows.Forms.DataGridView' does not contain a definition for 'DataBind' and no extension method 'DataBind' accepting a first argument of type 'System.Windows.Forms.DataGridView' could be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?)
