Accessing sql server 2008 database through LAN

In my project I want to access sql server 2008 database through LAN connection. Please tell me how to connect database through LAN?

this very common question and its solution is very simple you have to add the IP address of that server in your connection string. for example sqlconnection con = new sqlconnection(data source= 10.1.137.111\sqlserver;initial catlog=SMSsoftware;user id=sa;password=khan@123)
