if you want to add new Column in Gridview then add a new column in Datatable and bind that Datatable with your Gridview.

How you creating and populating gridview. Dynamically creating Gridview or just binding from a data source? If its from data source (data table) then recreate your data table with required columns and rows and bind to gridview. remember to enable Grid View property AutoGeneratedColumns = True.
