You don't necessarily have to rebind. If say your DGV is bound to a DataTable then you could add a new row to the DataTable and hence to the DGV with code such as this: DataTable dt = (DataTable)dataGridView1.DataSource; dt.Rows.Add(Barack Obama); // or whatever it is
