what is the defferent core java and advance java?

hi core java is the fundamental for java that will be used in any java technology without this no one can jump on any advance java technology. AFAIK these aren't terms which are officially recognized by Oracle (or Sun before it) so it's anybody's guess what they mean. However check this thread for some opinions on the matter: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2306967/what-is-core-java-and-advanced-java The one that makes most sense to me is to regard Java SE as 'core' Java and anything else as 'advanced' Java.
