Ajax stand for Asynchronous Javascript and Xml. It can be implemented where you want that only a particular region of a page to be updated instead of updating the whole page. Scenario: A real life example would be watching live match score on a cricket score website. In such website only the portion of the particular batsman or baller gets updated who is currently batting or bowling stating the no of runs scored and no of balls bowled. Implementation: Ajax can be implemented almost anywhere where ever you feel that full postback of the page is not required. But I mostly prefer ajax where I need to download a huge amount of data from the database or whenever i need to perform any complex logic on my webpage. Hope This helps you.
