Why we use alink and vlink in HTML?

Hi ALINK :a link is activated when it is clicked. google.com HTML Tutorial Eample : google.com I set ALink to Red when click on google.com It will be red google.com (After click on google.com) its activated. Eample : google.com I set VLink to Green then google.com will be green google.com no need to click on google.com to appear green color. You can take the example of google..The link which I visited(means vlink) appears to be in somewhat purple color and the link which I haven't in blue color..right Then what is this active link?

Hi Priya I am confusedyou said vlink change the color of link you have previously visited and alink sets the color of links as you click on them(means they are also visited)..so both alink and vlink seems same to me.

Hi 1.LINK : LINK which sets the color of links you haven't followed . 2.VLINK : VLINK which sets the color of links you have followed . The vlink attribute allows you to change the color of all links to pages that have previously been visited. 3.ALINK : ALINK which sets the color of links as you click on them .
