android fragments

Question

when i am using a navigation activity then i call fragments from the panel menu Every item opens a different menu  i want that atleast one fragment stays open when i open my application  but it is not working Can u help me in this

i had used this method and my fragments are working but i want that one of them display everytime on screen as i am using navigation activity

Hello Manish You can either add a Fragment statically using the activity's layout XML: com.example.myapp.myfragment android:id= @+id/my_fragment android:layout_width= match_parent android:layout_height= match_parent /> or create dynamically to achieve this. Fragment myFragment = new MyFragment(); FragmentTransaction transaction = getFragmentManager().beginTransaction(); transaction.add(R.id.fragment_container myFragment).commit(); Hope this will help you out. you can try setting visibilty of the fragments which u want to show whenever you get back on the main page and all others to gone
