Android Log In section using three tier concept

Can any one help me to complete a log/registration activity in android ? I am stuck in authentication area, I inserted values to the fields. Please ?

Can you please try this? Cursor cursor = getReadableDatabase(). rawQuery("select * from myusers where username = ? and userpassword=?", new String[] { username,userpassword });

I did, i wanna combination of two colum values, ie, if user name & password is match , then only it ll return true to the calling fun(); else i t ll b false.

Do you have any webservice that exposes this functionality, to validate user name and password?

Yes i wanna check the list of registered users from DB, if its a valid one user ll navigates to next activity.

Please let me know, exactly what you need? After entering the username and password, have you connected to your authentication stored todo validate the authentication? Are you using plain Android SDK or are you using any frameworks like PhoneGap / Apache Cordova ?
