I am looking for someone with experience in ANTS Profiler/Load Testing. I will consider someone working part-time (evenings/weekends), a mentor to train a seasoned Performance Tester, or someone interested in a 6 month project working full-time at the client site in Plano, Texas.
About the project:
Our client experienced a production problem thought to be associated with the volume of network traffic coinciding with the implementation of an Online system (an Active Server Page application utilizing an Oracle database). A critical testing goal of the client is to successfully performance test the Online system. They want to conduct baseline performance tests in order to define and better understand the Online System performance metrics.
The consultant will perform the following activities; test planning, creating the test environment , performing Business Process (BP) identification and script creation, providing baseline run and analysis documentation.
1. Test planning – optimize the installation process and prepare the engagement for success.
2. Installation – setup the test application (ANTS).
3. Identification of Business Process – prepare for the load testing process and create the scripts to support the load testing executions.
4. Baseline run – determine and document the level of success and improvements.
This request covers the following areas:
- ANTS implementation, set-up, and script development
- Script configuration
- Execution of load tests
- ANTS scenario executions and results analysis
- ANTS mentoring during engagement
ANTS implementation
This will include the controller and injector machines and where applicable, network delay, NT/Win2000/Unix server, Web Server, Application Server and Database monitors. Access to relevant administrator privileges on the machines will be granted on an as needed basis.
Script development
ANTS scripts will be developed for the selected high volume business processes in conjunction with the team. The communication protocol will be HTTP.
Results analysis
Our client expects that ANTS will collect and graph response times and system monitoring statistics. Analysis of these graphs and insight into the performance of the Online system is required. The consultant will validate pass/fail status based on criteria established in the test plan. The results of the load test will provide the following:
· End-to-end Online system response time
· Online system client time
· Server resource statistics under load
· Database statistics under load
· Server statistics
· Cross Scenario graphs
Performance Enhancement
While the load test is executed, our client may collect additional data from the Online system. Based on this data, our client may decide to make configuration changes and have the consultant rerun the tests to verify the benefits of such changes.
