Hi :) Anyone who know how to modify settings in printer preferences ? i need to specify a default papersource on my printer. i have looked at the papersource class but cant figure it out.. if its possible /: //Jesper

If you mean that you want to change a printer's default paper source globally then you'll need to resort to the Win32 API as this can't be done using .NET Framework classes. You first need to call OpenPrinter to get a handle to the printer you want to change and then call SetPrinter using this handle. SetPrinter also needs to be passed a Level parameter of 8 and a pointer to a PRINTER_INFO_8 structure. The latter in turn needs to include a pointer to a DEVMODE structure which contains the global default printer data. DEVMODE's dmDefaultSource field which is a short int needs to be set to one of the following values: DMBIN_AUTO DMBIN_CASSETTE DMBIN_ENVELOPE DMBIN_ENVMANUAL DMBIN_FIRST DMBIN_FORMSOURCE DMBIN_LARGECAPACITY DMBIN_LARGEFMT DMBIN_LAST DMBIN_LOWER DMBIN_MANUAL DMBIN_MIDDLE DMBIN_ONLYONE DMBIN_TRACTOR DMBIN_SMALLFMT DMBIN_UPPER Rather than figure out all the existing DEVMODE fields yourself you can get a pointer to the existing settings via the GetPrinter function. You set the printer to use in the PrintDocument object: pd.PrinterSettings.PrinterName = name of printer;

If 'pd' represents your PrintDocument you can do: pd.PrinterSettings.DefaultPageSettings.PaperSource = pd.PrinterSettings.PaperSources[index]; where 'index' denotes the zero-based index into the PaperSources collection.
