Application Crashing Unexpected way

Question

Hi I have created a multi threaded application for TCPListener in C# In that whole program I have mentioned try catch block every place but still my application crashes. Its really causing serious issue and I am not able to figure it out. Please help me. Regards Sujit

See now you can find a fix for this problem and solve it to overcome the problem. Using the try...catch would only cause your application to not break and terminate it won't help you to make sure that it does run. The problem is that you are either accessing that COM object from another thread or when it has been removed garbage collector may do its job when required. Many similar things please consider adding a breakpoint and then see what and how is that object removed (that COM object).

Hi Afzaal The exception I m getting is System.Runtime.InteropServices.InvalidComObjectException was unhandled Message: COM object that has been separated from its underlying RCW cannot be used.

Never use try...catch to overcome the problem. Using the try...catch would only forward you to more pain of not even knowing how to solve the problem. I would recommend that you remove those try...catch blocks and then see what is the exception. Solve that exception one by one to remove the problems. The problem may be caused by an internal problem caused by network it may be caused by low memory or similar problems. Can you share the exception message so that I can continue to help you?
