application exe rename

Question

hello I want to changed my .exe rename from myapp.exe to newapp.exe In that application i am using laguage conversion so that resource resx file cannot rename my assembly name. it will get an error. so please help to resolving my problem.

Changing resources.resx file will cause error of what you are going to do without knowing. Just rename the assembly ->clean and rebuild your project Open the Project Properties in Visual Studio (right click on project in Solution Explorer and select Properties from popup menu) On the Application tab of the properties window change the Assembly name This will change your output name without getting any error

Did you checked all the reference file don't have any exclamation mark (sign of missing references)? I believe that you might have done something wrong with your Resource.resx file which doesn't to be changed in a proper manner. Recheck that all your Resources that you have used (like files images etc) that you had used in your project. Hey Try clean and rebuild your project and if you are looking exclamation mark in your reference file then remove and add reference again. Hope this helps

Kinjal are u using the exe or u are hosting things In IIS try Few things quickly 1.Clear all temp files an try again 2.Check if U r not missing any reference in the Project if U can share the code for our reference then it will be good http://lejisblog.blogspot.in/p/binding-failure-assembly-with-display.html These are for Quick Reference an also see if u have all the dlls are present there ... The assembly with display name 'LumiQuant_ASW' failed to load in the 'Load' binding context of the AppDomain with ID 1. The cause of the failure was: System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'LumiQuant_ASW Culture=neutral' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified. exception occur because i am using language conversion also.

Go to Properties -> Application name--> AssemblyName --> newapp.exe It will change ur exe name See attached On How to do it Mark.approved if it helps
