Application targeting wp 8.1 will work on wp8.0?

Question

Hi I am creating a windows phone application in Visual Studio 2013.As it has selected the target OS as 8.1. I want the application to support wp7 and wp8.0 platforms.Will it work for these platforms?If no then is their any alternatives?

Hy Sweta If you develop an application Windows Phone 8.1  will not be visible to users who have installed and possess with previous versions of Windows Phone . There are two solutions  develop an application with Windows Phone 7.5  in this case will be visible on both Windows Phone 8 and 8.1  the other solution and upload a file and .xap .appx for all platforms.
