applications not responding

Question

Hi, I have just installed .NET and did a quick .NET/C# web application test just to see of it was working. Apparently its not! Whenever I try and run something (either by using browse - CTRL+F8-, debug-F5- or run without debugging - CTRL+F5-) as simple as a normal submit button (server or html control) on a web form, the application goes to the web site, but nothing appears on screen. It is as if the web site is being loaded forever. Can someonce please point me in the right direction? Thanx
