Asking username & password at runtime in crystal report

Question

I have used subreport in crystal report. when i run application through my pc it doesn't show me dialog box enter login name & password.

But when i installed that app in another pc it shows me dialog box enter login info.
i know this problem is due to subreport which i have taken.

Then there should not be any problem make sure that there is same database with same name means if you are using sql server on your pc then there must be sql server only and also check your connection string have you checked path problem must be there even you are not creating set up file follow above process of copying rpt files in one folder and set path of that

or create one folder in set up project of name report and do like this Application.StartupPath & \report\ & strReportName & .rpt

You can copy your .rpt files in one folder of your set up project after creating folder in set up project and then set path to that folder in this way Dim strReportPath As String = Application.StartupPath & _ \ & strReportName & .rpt

Thanks for ur reply. Mayur I know that i have 2 set location of crystal report.but is it possible 2 set location through application. becuaseelse i have 2 install crystal report software in that PC. i have now install CRRedist2005_x86.msi .

It is problem of path you have set for displaying report when you are running on your pc it is finding report path but when you are running on another pc problem occurs for this do like this right click on crystal report and set its property copy to output directory property to copy always and then copy your report files(.rpt) from your project folder and then copy it on pc on which you want to run your app and then set path of that folder surely it will work
