ASP.NET and C# developed

Question

why are ASP.NET and C# developed in separate windows if they are the same program? Aren't most programs developed in a single file?

well question need to be more clear . Anyways ASP.net websites do have c# and html+js+... in other file .. So if you are asking why separate folders means simple just to make things clear i.e REDUCE the complexity . EX: In your aspx page source you find controls with events binded but code is kept in .cs file upon event fires it will execute . . Just you are seperating rendering part to browser(html) and logic Regards
