asp.net c# gridview textbox event eats up all other events

hi i am working on web application asp.net c# in gridview textbox(editable) textchanged not firing textbox event fires when checking checkbox and checkbox event fires on second click only please give me any sugesstions........

Hi i tried onkeyup event actually here the postback is happening for every text entering in textbox.......(checking checkbox event) any solution

Hi The OnTextChanged will only fire if you make a change in the textbox and also tab out[unfocus] of the field. OR you can say AutoPostBack on text box will trigger postback when the focus is lost from the text box. That's why when the textbox is unfocused ontextchanged event is firing. It is better to handle the event in client side like or use keyup instead of onchange. keyup will execute the function when you key-in into the textbox

Hi thanks for ue replay.... i am using gridview which contains editable textbox and if text is edited then if i clcik checkbox or button the textbox text changed event is fired instead of checkbox or button event....... ' CssClass=HtmlTxtRight OnTextChanged=Amount_TextChanged > in code behind..... i am doing some calculation in the function Amount_TextChanged()......
