asp.net counter in website

i want a counter in website w hich counts no of visitors on website.i have used xml sql ..it runs best on local machine ..but whn i deploy on iis local server ..it shows error like not a precomplied xml file. .. database.mdf is read only ... how to fix this error... amitesh

normally added the xml file in solution explorer and put the code in it....and on master page done the coding for increment..but whn i deploy it on server..it throws error

Moving the data(.mdf)to the ApplicationData shared folder where end users will have write permissions by default. Environment.GetFolderPath(Environment.SpecialFolder.ApplicationData).ToString) this code is used to find out the Application folder path in xpvistawin7

all access granted to the databse ..but yet it shows the same error....i was 1st inserting code in master page...after that i tried in home page...same error....help me with some code....

Seems like a permission issue with database.mdf. please provide full access..
