ASP.NET GRIDVIEW

Question

Hi all In my page i want to Dispaly 10 empty TextBoxes in Gridview by default so that user can enter and submit the vales how can i submit 10 TextBoxes manually..now im able to get only one textbox on the GridView by default... Thanks in Advance Regards Sathish Pabbathi

Hi Satish As per your question my understanding is - You have to create 10 rows in a gridview with each row should have one Text box which should happen by default. If this what you are looking then here is my suggestion let me know if it helps. Thanks 1. Create GridView in aspx page ( for instance it will have two columns) 2. Create hidden field in one column. 3. In your .cs file create Temp table with ten rows which will have single column let say tempId 4. Bind this temp table to Gridview. 5. This binding will populate the ten rows to Gridview 6. On Row created event add text box control to another column similar to below code. protected void GridView1_RowCreated(object sender GridViewRowEventArgs e) { if (e.Row.RowType == DataControlRowType.DataRow) { PlaceHolder pc1 = ((PlaceHolder)e.Row.Cells[1].Controls[1]); TextBox tb=new TextBox(); pc1 .Controls.Add(tb); } }
