ASP.NET MVC count Notification

Question

I want to show the notification count above the icon for example i need to show no of files uploaded today requests received etc and so on. (Like Facebook unread message). regards arun sahani

Facebook etc. query this type of data from the database. They then use that data to show as a number. For example if there are 10 rows for notifications that are to be read then they show 10 in the notifications counter. Similarly you can perform the same thing. Following can be the flow of the procedure: Create a table to store the records. When page loads count the number of records (rows) in the table. Show that count in the document. It depends on where you want to show but typically you show this data in the main layout instead of pages. If this is .NET Core then you will be using a layout file if that is a legacy framework such as Web Forms then you will be using a Master page.
