ASP.Net textbox data searching

Question

I want to search data from a asp.net textbox, where data will search from database as user requirement. I used json to get data via a webservice( sql query is in this), but I was unable to get data. What is the best way for textbox auto search? My work is in asp.net webform ans sql server 2008 R2
