ASP.NET TEXTBOX

Question

Hi All In My Application there almost 40 TextBox Controls. It should accept only Capital letters and if user enters small letters also it should convert the text into CAPITAL LETTERS automatically... Anybody plz suggest me a solution which satisfies my requirement exactly or else partially either using JavaScript or jQuery or even C#anything is ok for me Thanks In Advance Regards Sathish Pabbathi

use onblur event in ur textbox and call javascript function. in javascript change the text in upper. see the sample code below: aspx : onblur=JavaScript:MakeUpper(this.id); > javascript : function MakeUpper(txtId) { document.getElementById(txtId).value = document.getElementById(txtId).value.toUpperCase(); }

Hi You can do another simplest way in css input[type=text] { text-transform:uppercase; } no need to set any css class for textbox control Regards Iftikar

Use Html Attribute [onchange] [onblur]. And If were you I use JQuery like this. # Below sentence insert on attribute of textBox. onchange = transCapitalLetter(this); # Write the function in tag. function transCapitalLetter(obj){ var object = $(obj) ; var modifyLetters = object.val(); // If it doesn't works use 'object.text()'; object.val(modifyLetters); // If it doesn't works use 'object.text()'; }
