Audio File in a Data Base

Question

is it possible store a audio file in a field of a SQLServer DataBase? What Data Type I have to use and what is the code (C#) to insert it in a column? Thanx in advance. Carlos

Well I think I will do that cause I didn't find the way to play the file (byte[]). Thanks everybody anyway.

Well I have no idea about how to play it from database. However I would recommend you different approach to the problem i.e. do not store files in the database. Store them somewhere on the disk and have path written to the database.

I have uploaded the audio file like I have uploaded the image file (with a byte[]). But now how to play the byte[] ? Do you know how to? If is possible post some code please. thanx in advance.

Use an Image field this can store up to 2GB. Read the binary file stream into a byte[] as you would with an image. See your other topic ;). goodluck
