What is a good example (not the one's that are difficult to follow on the msdn) of a login control authenticate event?

Hi Richard  We use login controls to authenticate an user and later on authenticated user's can access the resource or URL following the constraints imposed in the Web.config. Login control comes as part of Web Site Administration tool which helps us to provide authentication. The user provides the credentials and then authenticated.
