Automatic populate dropdownlist on select id

Question

Hi friends I have one textbox and one dropdownlist. I want when we enter id of any user in the textbox then name of this user will display in the dropdownlist. Please help me anyone ? Please help ? Thanks !

Hi Vineet I believe you are just trying to show User name as a selected in the drop down once the user enter the id. In that case you can bind all predefined User Name in the dropdown (set Text as UserName and Value as UserId). then by using Javascript code you can find the index of the dropdown by using user id onblur() function of the textbox. Hi Vineet Write a code block inside TextBox_TextChanged to search the data in database for id in TextBox and if found bind all the names to DropDownList. If you want me to help you with your code portion show me your code what you've tried. Thanks.
