Automatically logout inactive session

Question

How can i automatically logout a session that is idle for a while.I require this in ASP.NET web applicatio. Thank You in advance.

Normally in an asp.net application if you are using any session handling (inproc outproc) mode then default session timeout is 20 minutes. You can set it in web.config itself like below: So the above line implies that it will clear the session value of the particular user in the server however may be still the authenticated user. If you are using Form authentication then you can come across the term sliding expiration which is always related with session's timeout in the sense they are closely related in terms of the context however both are different.
