Background Color of MessageDialog

Question

I am working with the MessageDialog class and can't see to find out a way to change the background color of message dialog. Documentation says same and it is very annoying. I don't understand why Microsoft will have half-cooked classes like this? How about my XAML Message box?

As in the case of the Windows Forms and WPF messageboxes I suspect the Win32 MessageBox function may still be lurking underneath the MessageDialog class: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-gb/library/windows/desktop/ms645505(v=vs.85).aspx If that's the case then customization will be severely limited and you'll have to roll your own MessageDialog if you want to change the background color.
