.bail command in SQLite

.bail command in SQLite stops after hitting an error. What does it mean. Can anyone explain through example

Ya I have set .bail ON and given a column name which does not exist in Table. Its showing error of no such column.

have you set bail ON while executing select command......because it works only when bail command is set.

Hi Pravin. Will it not work in SQLite command window? I have applied select statement on a Table for a record which does not exist. So its an error but it doesn't stop processing. Please explain how I can test this command. Thanks.

Hi Monika The .bail command controls the error handling behaviour.it only affect noninteractive sesions when SQL commands are being read from a file or from standard input. soif the bail flag is setany error will cause the processing to stop. the default is off. Thanks Pravin.
