bengali or hindi text extract from pdf document

Question

I am trying to extract hindi and bengali language text from pdf document. But I am unable to do that. I can only extract english text. Can any one tell me how to extract bengali or hindi text from pdf document?

Are you using a third-party pdf reader? or a full-blown c# pdf writer/reader ? :) (I need that) hehehe. You just have to set the correct font (which supports your language) and the proper encoding to use in reading the pdf stream. In this case you have to use hindi OR bengali encoding.

Have you tried debugging this part? outFile.Write(ExtractTextFromPDFBytes(reader.GetPageContent(page)) + " "); check first if you're getting the correct data with ExtractTextFromPDFBytes(reader.GetPageContent(page)). check if you are able to correctly get the language you're after. This way, we'll narrow down the cause of the problem. It may be that the source data is not read properly, and we may have to find another call from iTextsharp to read it properly.

I am using acrobat reader for writing pdf document and unicode supported bengali and english font. But can not extract unicode text from it using c# program. Can any one give me any suggestion regarding this? I need code help.
