Best way to load the page faster

Question

Hello everyone Am developing a website!!! one page contains 2000 images(very small size) and 5 jquerys present in it i need a right way to load these things faster!!! any idea?

ya you are right mahesh am using div overflow !! so only div content is scrollable I must show all images maheshthats the requirement :( the way am displaying is 40 rows x 10 columns !! each image size is 50Wx30H since 5 div content are invisble one div is good enuf to display all 400 small images.Problem is heavy overload !! i wil try for alternate solutions Cheers bro!!!

You should look for some free photo gallery applications. Try JQuery. Search this website. I think Raj Kumar has written one article on this. You cannot load all 400 images first time. It does not make sense because user can't really see all 400 same time. So you need to load one page at a time.

Hi mahesh Thanks for your valuabe points Let me explain something about my page 1.Am not doin any server side activities 2.Having 6 div in a page and only one is visible at a time depends on user selection 3.each div contains about 400 images 4.Loading all the div same time 5.Each image size is 1-4 kb Page is very slow it is taking too much time!!! afraid it wil make users to wait long time

1. Make sure thumbnails are small in size ( 2. Load only thumbnails you are displaying on the screen (JQuery or JavaScritp or AJAX) at a time. So if your page can display 50 thumbnails load 50 only. 3. Use caching (on server or client) depending on your needs 4. Select a good photo gallery viewer control 5. Check post backs and not load images on page refresh etc. Hope these tips help!
