Bitmap to 2d array

Question

I've looked on the documentation for the framework and on MSDN but I can't find anyway of converting a 1-Bit bitmap into a 2d array with 1 as black and 0 as white. Any ideas?

yeah u can use getpixel to do it i used that method to make a collision mask array. i did it like this Color colorKey = Color.fromARGB(2550255); int size = image.Width * image.Height; byte[] mask = new byte[size]; for(int i = 0; i < image.Width-1; i++) { for(int j = 0; j < image.Height-1; j++) { Color pixel = image.getPixel(ij); int index = i + j * image.Width; //do color check.... check R G B and if needed A dont separately example if colorKey.R = pixel.R etc etc if( colorchek) //the one in the text above { mask[index] = 0; } else { mask[index] = 1; } } } and when u need a color for lets say pixel 24 from the mask array you can get it like this int check = 2 + 4 * (image.Width-1) i had to write this in a hurry so there are prolly errors but i thing u can understand what i mean

have you considered using Bitmap.GetPixel? for each pixel you can check if it's black or white and then write the value 0 or 1 into the array.
